The Digital Advantage
The Digital Advantage
Many people cannot tell the difference between a recording of a digital piano and an acoustic one. This is largely because digital pianos use real acoustic piano samples as the basis for their sound.

In addition to the sound, it is important that a piano can respond to even the slightest variations in touch – from pianissimo to fortissimo. Roland has spent years developing an action that actually rivals many acoustic pianos.
The Digital Advantage All Roland Rental digital pianos have a volume control, so if a student is a little shy, they can either play at lower volume or use some headphones. They also have an on-board metronome, weigh considerably less than their acoustic counterparts and never need tuning.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of the digital piano is that they can be connected to a computer, and this opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Music software can make it easier to learn new songs because you can play one hand (or part) and have the computer play the other. Most software allows you to record what you play on your piano and then edit it in almost any way imaginable; move a note, copy a chorus, add effects, alter the tempo, instantly transpose, change the pitch and then print out the music notation- all via your mouse.
